Country Director

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership, development, and direction of Orbis International Operations in South Africa
- Foster collaborations and partnerships with donors, project partners, local governments, and NGOs
- Lead all Orbis projects/programs in South Africa
- Monitor and evaluate project practices and quality processes
- Submit accurate programmatic, progress, and financial reports to HQ
- Develop Country Strategic Plan (CSP) for Orbis South Africa
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in medicine, Public Health, International Development, or Business Administration with a minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience
- OR Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Medicine, Public Health, International Development, or Business Administration with a minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience
- Deep knowledge of the South African health system
- Direct experience managing program budgets
- Demonstrated success identifying funding opportunities and cultivating donor relationships
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed global-local organizational structure
