About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze performance and costs
- Monitor manufacturing performance indicators and analyze cost trends
- Identify productivity improvement and cost-reduction opportunities
- Analyze variances related to standard costs (raw materials, labor, and overhead)
- Act as a financial partner to operational teams
- Support the calculation and updating of product costs and standard costs
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure inventory accuracy
- Analyze purchasing, transportation, and warehousing costs
- Participate in the monthly financial close process
- Contribute to budgets and financial forecasts for operations and the supply chain
- Participate in improvements and enhancements of financial systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong expertise in cost accounting and financial analysis
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Advanced Excel skills: financial modeling, complex analyses, and data manipulation
- Experience with an ERP (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or equivalent)
- Ability to work closely with operational teams
- Strong analytical mindset, ability to prioritize, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA designation — OR 5+ years of relevant experience in cost analysis/product costing
- 5–8 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or cost accounting
- Bilingual in French and English required
