About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will further develop the core systems behind our product and actively shape our backend architecture.
Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and REST APIs using Kotlin, Spring, and Gradle.
Model and continuously optimize the performance of our relational database systems (SQL).
Work closely with the frontend and AI teams to ensure clean integration of interfaces and reliable implementation of business logic.
Security as an integral part of the architecture (Secure by Design).
Contribute to shaping our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Actively participate in the agile development process and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
Experience developing backend applications with Kotlin, Spring, and Gradle
Solid knowledge of relational database systems (SQL)
Experience with collaborative development processes and version control (Git)
Enthusiasm for complex server and data architectures
Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility in a fast-paced product development environment
Good communication skills and a willingness to continue learning
Fluent in German and English
Advantage: Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, Azure DevOps, or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
