About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead all aspects of cloud infrastructure and corporate IT operations
Partner with security, engineering, data, customer success, and leadership teams
Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions for the data platform and services ecosystem
Write infrastructure-as-code, primarily in Terraform, and guide automation and configuration-management best practices
Grow investment in observability to support products and customers
Design and exercise disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
Scale data and SaaS services while maintaining reliability and performance
Develop infrastructure and IT strategies aligned with technical and business goals
Promote an agile DevOps culture with sound CI/CD and a seamless developer experience
Establish and refine infrastructure and IT best practices, tools, and processes
Act as a hands-on technical leader while mentoring and coaching team members
Report directly to the CTO

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years' experience leading cloud infrastructure and IT operations in a SaaS and/or data product setting
5+ years' experience building SaaS/data product infrastructure in Azure preferred
3+ years' experience working for early-stage startups
Strong hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform
Deep understanding of architectures supporting data platforms and service-oriented systems
Ability to make fast, appropriately scaled technical decisions
Ability to support security and compliance requirements while balancing business productivity
Demonstrated success mentoring and developing technical team members
Experience overseeing Corporate IT teams
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders
Ability to support customers directly
Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the US on a full-time basis for any employer
