About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Managing communications strategy to re-engage customers in arrears
- Utilising multiple communication channels (email, SMS, push notifications, dialler)
- Utilising internal data, external data and models to segment customers into groups and design treatment strategies
- Proactively identifying signs of financial difficulty and engaging customers prior to arrears to reduce missed payments
- Identifying opportunities to use additional third-party data sources to aid collections strategies
- Coordinating with third parties that supply communication channels
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years’ experience in commercial, portfolio, or collections management within consumer credit, preferably credit cards.
- Strong knowledge of FCA consumer credit regulation, including responsible lending, collections, and debt sale practices.
- Strong strategic thinker
- Proven expertise in pricing, credit line management, collections strategy, and debt portfolio sales.
- Advanced analytical skills, including financial modelling and credit risk assessment is beneficial.
- Strong SQL skills - able to self-serve with their own data
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in fintech or fast-growing financial services preferred.
