About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support planning and production of internal and external communications programs, including press releases, media pitches, communications plans, publications, email campaigns, web and intranet content, branding materials, and digital and printed materials
  • Execute communications plans and deliverables aligned with business priorities across multiple channels and audiences
  • Write, edit, and produce content for internal and external audiences, including news stories, feature articles, email campaigns, intranet content, and other materials
  • Collaborate with internal partners and cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, align communication needs, and deliver projects on time
  • Advise cross-functional teams and support integrated communications aligned with business objectives
  • Support development of communications strategies with guidance from senior team members
  • Ensure communications deliverables align with ONEOK brand standards, style guidelines, and applicable policies
  • Evaluate communications initiatives, campaigns, and materials; apply feedback to improve future deliverables
  • Coordinate campaign logistics, content development, and distribution across channels
  • Contribute to interviews, news releases, feature stories, intranet and website content, publications, and audiovisual or video presentations
  • Assist with speeches, messaging, and talking points for executives and leadership
  • Respond to stakeholder and media inquiries and support communications-related activities
  • Review financial and statistical data related to market research and annual reports; help track communications budgets
  • Track engagement metrics and use basic analytics and feedback to improve content effectiveness
  • Support communications training and programs for managers and employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or another related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education
  • Experience related to public relations, mass communications, communications project coordination, journalism, broadcasting, media relations, employee/internal communications, audiovisual production, or television/video production
  • Experience communicating through print, digital, video, and graphics using strong written and verbal skills
  • Experience with data and analytics monitoring and reporting
  • Experience planning and supporting meetings
  • Experience researching trends and issues relevant to the company and industry
  • Experience writing, editing, and producing speeches, talking points, messaging, feature articles, press releases, email campaigns, audiovisual presentations, intranet content, and brochures
  • Experience applying brand guidelines, style standards, and organizational policies across multiple channels
  • Experience interpreting information from periodicals, journals, publications, financial statements, and internal communications
  • Experience supporting communications training programs and responding to internal and external inquiries
  • Experience working across functions or departments in a collaborative or matrixed environment
  • Experience using computers, office software, digital collaboration tools, content development tools, and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with approved AI-enabled tools for drafting, editing, research, and measurement
  • Ability to communicate written and verbal information and conduct oral presentations
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to write, edit, tell stories, speak, and present effectively; knowledge of AP Stylebook
  • Knowledge of digital communications channels, collaboration platforms, content management tools, and AI-enabled communications capabilities
  • Ability to use approved AI-enabled tools with sound judgment, accuracy, appropriate tone, and brand alignment
  • PRSA or IABC professional accreditation is a plus
  • Applicable driver's license may be required if assigned a company vehicle
