About the role
- Responsible for quarterly tax balancing and filing of Federal, State and Local tax returns in all jurisdictions.
- Prepare and submit amended reports as needed.
- Frequent communication with customers and taxing agencies to resolve customer tax notices.
- Reconcile tax data between Payroll System and Tax Software.
- Ensure clients are billed correctly for their taxes.
- Provide outstanding tax service support by responding to and researching tax inquiries.
- Provide tax guidance to clients and/or internal organization.
- Review & maintain all tax setup information in both Payroll and Tax Systems.
- Apply for new tax accounts as needed.
- Other duties as appropriate to the objectives of the role.
Requirements
- Highly analytical, deadline-driven professional
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within short-term time frames.
- Familiar with payroll tax processing rules & regulations.
- Comfortable working with tax agencies and clients both orally and in writing.
