About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Play a support role on project teams while building your skills and experience.
  • Work closely with project managers and senior staff to keep projects on track, provide responsive technical assistance to client partners, and contribute to high-quality deliverables.
  • Take notes during project team meetings; summarizing and distributing the notes after the meeting; creating follow-up tasks for team members in our project management software.
  • Work closely with the project lead to regularly review the project management plan, summarizing project status for the project lead, identifying areas for follow-up, and drafting team meeting agendas.
  • Work closely with the project lead to draft client communications, meeting agendas, project invoicing status updates, and other communications.
  • Provide proactive and responsive technical assistance (training, support, coaching through technical tasks related to our projects) to client partners that are aligned with project goals.
  • Monitor process and outcome data to identify data quality concerns and support organizations in addressing emerging issues.
  • Participate in technical assistance activities by providing logistical support for trainings, preparing handouts, or helping to answer client questions.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis tasks such as entering or organizing survey responses, preparing focus group guides, or helping to summarize participant feedback.
  • Identify articles for a literature review, identify key article themes, and create summaries to support project research.
  • Identify key learnings and improvements from projects and contribute new and improved approaches to our knowledge management and best practice teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Commitment to equity and social impact with demonstrated interest in at least one of Omni’s core areas: Community Health, Behavioral Health, Adult & Juvenile Justice, Economic Security, or Children & Families.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including experience tracking tasks, managing meeting notes and agendas, drafting communications, and supporting project workflows.
  • Training or experience in applied research methods (qualitative or quantitative), typically a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with at least two years of work experience.
  • Experience providing technical assistance —such as training, coaching, or resource development—that helps community partners strengthen capacity and meet project goals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse community partners and clearly translate technical or complex information for different audiences.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to take on new projects, explore unfamiliar content areas, and learn new skills and methods.
  • Attention to detail and accountability, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high standards in project work.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
