About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day planning and execution of sponsorship logistics, vendor management, client deliverables, event recaps, budgets, and timelines
  • Support event programming from brainstorming through on-site or virtual execution and wrap-up
  • Develop tailored experiential event strategic plans
  • Manage event materials including digital programs, invitations, and promotional premiums
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners, vendors, venues, and sponsorship properties
  • Manage program budgets, accounting procedures, purchase orders, job codes, and finance documentation
  • Support development of sales and concept decks
  • Manage multiple sports and lifestyle sponsorship projects simultaneously
  • Recommend ways to use sponsorship assets to meet client objectives
  • Coordinate sponsorship asset fulfillment and event logistics
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, venue operators, and sponsorship partners
  • Oversee on-site dining, food and beverage, venue, décor, furniture rental, A/V, brand integration, and promotional elements
  • Attend events as a main point of contact for vendors, guests, clients, and partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fan or expert of sports, lifestyle culture, food, travel, and the arts
  • 4+ years of agency or client service experience and event planning experience
  • Experience in an event management setting with direct ownership or lead responsibility over a project
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
  • Ability to present confidently in front of clients
  • Ability to work independently and contribute ideas to solve problems
  • Relationship management skills with venues, vendors, suppliers, and other partners
  • Meticulous work ethic and ability to meet deadlines while producing quality work
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Budget management and/or reconciliation experience desirable
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically
  • Willingness to work weekends or holidays as needed
  • Moderate anticipated travel level of 20–45%
