About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the data governance representative within an Agile delivery team, ensuring governance standards are incorporated throughout the development lifecycle.
Partner with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Engineers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data assets meet enterprise quality and governance standards.
Support metadata management, data stewardship, and business glossary initiatives using Collibra.
Ensure critical data elements, business definitions, lineage, and ownership are accurately documented and maintained.
Validate data quality, consistency, and governance before data is promoted for downstream reporting and analytics.
Assist with identifying data quality issues, governance risks, and compliance gaps while recommending appropriate remediation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional planning sessions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Metadata Management, or Data Stewardship.
Experience supporting Workers' Compensation systems, claims, or business operations.
Hands-on experience with Collibra for metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, or governance workflows.
Strong understanding of enterprise data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, and stewardship.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments alongside cross-functional delivery teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
