About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and ensure the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects
  • Establish technical requirements for projects

  • Oversee project teams through project planning, tracking, and execution from initiation to completion
  • Develop or maintain processes to meet programmatic needs
  • Produce work products and services that meet customer requirements
  • Perform cost analysis and cost control
  • Conduct planning and scheduling activities for projects or programs with significant non-routine requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and provide innovative cost and schedule solutions
  • Ensure work is completed as scheduled
  • Identify cost trends for management attention
  • Support project scheduling using Primavera P6, including data quality checks, integration tasks, and schedule analysis
  • Support project cost management using Cobra and EVMS processes
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to align solutions with project objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Satisfactory pre-employment screening, including a drug and breath alcohol test
  • Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Primavera P6, and Cobra
  • Demonstrated initiative and independence
  • Strong communication skills across technical and business contexts
  • Experience in project controls within DOE/NNSA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two years preferred
  • Previous DOE/NNSA work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of LANL Project Controls procedures, policies, and processes highly desirable
  • Knowledge of DOE O 413.3B EVMS requirements highly desirable
