About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate construction materials testing projects from initiation through completion.
- Ensure timely completion of projects, in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee laboratory and field-testing operations.
- Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Support the professional development of your team.
- Serve as the Project Owner’s Onsite CSA Quality Manager.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and contractors, clearly communicating project expectations and requirements.
- Oversee quality control and quality assurance practices from the contractor and third-party testing agencies related to project scope.
- Perform CSA related inspections as the Owner’s Representative.
- Review inspection and testing reports to verify compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
- Organize and lead regular project meetings to ensure alignment of expectations, performance, and deliverables.
- Maintain project quality health tracking dashboard.
- Provide weekly correspondence to the client outlining project progress and significant quality events.
- Secure appropriate resources for all project phases to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferred.
- A minimum of five years of project experience within an applicable field or discipline with increasing responsibility.
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through project management activities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- A high-level of organization, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- A deep understanding of Construction Quality Management and Industry standard construction practices.
- Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Solid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problems.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
