About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and coordinate construction materials testing projects from initiation through completion.
Ensure timely completion of projects, in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget.
Oversee laboratory and field-testing operations.
Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Support the professional development of your team.
Serve as the Project Owner’s Onsite CSA Quality Manager.
Act as the primary liaison between the client and contractors, clearly communicating project expectations and requirements.
Oversee quality control and quality assurance practices from the contractor and third-party testing agencies related to project scope.
Perform CSA related inspections as the Owner’s Representative.
Review inspection and testing reports to verify compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
Organize and lead regular project meetings to ensure alignment of expectations, performance, and deliverables.
Maintain project quality health tracking dashboard.
Provide weekly correspondence to the client outlining project progress and significant quality events.
Secure appropriate resources for all project phases to ensure timely and successful completion.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Foster and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferred.
A minimum of five years of project experience within an applicable field or discipline with increasing responsibility.
Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through project management activities.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
A high-level of organization, leadership, and negotiation skills.
A deep understanding of Construction Quality Management and Industry standard construction practices.
Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.
Solid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problems.
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
