About the role
- Lead project manager for multidisciplinary site design projects (mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports, schools, etc.)
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets and track progress to manage financial success and timely completion
- Manage complex contract negotiations
- Assemble and manage project teams; coordinate availability of internal resources and assign responsibilities
- Monitor progress and measure project performance to ensure deliverables fall within scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage change requests, execute risk management techniques, and minimize negative financial impact
- Coordinate detailed technical reviews to ensure quality and contract compliance
- Maintain positive client relationships and focus on exceptional client service to secure future work
- Document all project deliverables and maintain comprehensive project records
- Mentor staff on project management best practices and use Olsson Project Management programs
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Project management experience including scope, schedule, and budget control
- 8+ years of experience in site design and development
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to travel for in-office activities, client and site visits as needed
- Experience managing complex contract negotiations
- Experience mentoring staff on project management best practices
