About the role
- Lead structured cabling and communications system design for data center environments
- Leverage CAD/BIM tools to produce detailed engineering drawings
- Serve as the technical authority on RCDD requirements
- Manage and oversee smaller projects from concept through completion
- Collaborate directly with data center clients
- Conduct site visits as needed
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, or related field (preferred)
- 6+ years of CAD/BIM experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Active RCDD certification (required)
- Experience producing and reviewing complex engineering drawings
- Preferred experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, and other collaborative design tools
- Understanding of structured cabling standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NFPA)
- Ability to interpret technical specs and coordinate across disciplines
- Willingness to complete occasional job‑site visits
