About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Post-edit large volumes of machine-translated marketing copy to ensure accuracy, fluency, and quality.
  • Transcreate marketing copy so the intended message, tone, and brand personality are preserved in the local market language.
  • Deliver high-quality launch copy for products and maintain consistency across materials.
  • Localise copy for the target market while staying true to brand’s tone of voice, messaging, and inclusive writing standards.
  • Proofread and edit copy during final in-situ validation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Write creative copy and headlines for selected deliverables, including English back-translations of localised headlines.
  • Research product and technical details and work with cross-functional teams, project managers, and editors to ensure accuracy.
  • Stay informed about market trends, cultural changes, and socio-political developments that may affect copy and localisation decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Native-level fluency in the local-market language.
  • Strong English proficiency, with the ability to discuss creative and linguistic choices clearly and confidently.
  • Experience in copywriting, translation, and technical writing, ideally in technology or consumer electronics.
  • Experience with post-editing machine translation.
  • Strong creative writing skills and the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
  • Ability to translate marketing copy while preserving brand voice and messaging.
  • Knowledge of technical writing principles and ability to translate complex technical language into easy-to-understand copy.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide constructive feedback.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach when briefs, processes, or deadlines change.
  • Knowledge of MT systems and MT quality evaluation is ideal.
