About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to SRNS
- Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development, and generation of design output documents including P&IDs, Control Logics, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Indices, Setpoint Lists, Instrument and Control Valve Specifications, DCS and PLC Design, Instrument Location and Installation Design, Panel Layouts, and Vendor Document Review
- Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures
- Define scope of technical programs and develop effective, quality solutions to challenges
- Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks
- Prepare plans including schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years experience OR A MS with 8+years experience OR A BS with 10+ years experience or more
- BS Degree in disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, I&C Engineering, or current registration as a Professional Engineer
- 10 years of direct I&C design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry
- Experience with process control instrumentation, PLCs and distributed control systems
- Proficiency in MicroStation 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software
- Able to perform weekly field walk downs of job site for the engineering work being performed
- Candidates with active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two years preferred
