About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to SRNS
Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development, and generation of design output documents including P&IDs, Control Logics, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Indices, Setpoint Lists, Instrument and Control Valve Specifications, DCS and PLC Design, Instrument Location and Installation Design, Panel Layouts, and Vendor Document Review
Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures
Define scope of technical programs and develop effective, quality solutions to challenges
Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks
Prepare plans including schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years experience OR A MS with 8+years experience OR A BS with 10+ years experience or more
BS Degree in disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, I&C Engineering, or current registration as a Professional Engineer
10 years of direct I&C design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry
Experience with process control instrumentation, PLCs and distributed control systems
Proficiency in MicroStation 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software
Able to perform weekly field walk downs of job site for the engineering work being performed
Candidates with active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two years preferred
