About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Address workplace concerns, conduct investigations, and resolve employee relations issues with fairness and timeliness.
Foster a positive and inclusive culture through initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Design and deliver engaging training programs (in-person and virtual) tailored to team needs and company objectives.
Develop training resources such as manuals, presentations, and content libraries.
Mentor junior HR team members, supporting their growth and development.
Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and coaching.
Support the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Develop and deliver programs on topics like diversity & inclusion, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
Track HR metrics, prepare reports, and present insights to leadership.
Stay current on HR trends, employment law, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Lead or contribute to HR projects that drive continuous improvement and studio-wide impact.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HRBP capacity within gaming, tech, or creative industries.
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred) and ability to extract and interpret HR metrics.
Solid understanding of employment standards and HR best practices.
Proven experience handling complex employee relations cases.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
Superior written and verbal communication skills; empathetic and approachable.
Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
A passion for supporting people (bonus points if you’re also passionate about video games!).
