Manager – International Aid

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of professional coordinators and advisors in the Professional Department.
- Ensure OlamAid’s interventions are evidence-based, ethically sound, and aligned with global aid benchmarks.
- House and develop expertise in core sectors including MHPSS, Resilience, Emergency Response, DRR, and Food Security.
- Translate global standards into practical, field-ready toolkits and protocols.
- Maintain consistent professional language and delivery quality across the organization.
- Advise all departments to ensure high-standard project implementation.
- Guide teams in bridging the gap between field constraints and best practices.
- Ensure a robust and comprehensive safeguarding framework integrated throughout all OlamAid operations.
- Measure deliveries against professional benchmarks to ensure intended impact.
- Lead the refinement of methodologies based on evaluations and emerging global trends.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced Degree (MA/PhD): International Development, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in International aid Standards (e.g., Sphere, CHS) and Safeguarding protocols (PSEA, CP, SH).
- 7+ years of experience in the humanitarian or social-impact sector, specifically in technical advisory or department management.
- Proven track record of developing project methodologies, toolkits, and organizational ethical codes.
- Experience overseeing diverse thematic areas (MHPSS, Community Resilience, Emergency Response, DRR, and Food Security).
- Experience partnering with grant teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and evidence-based.
- Ability to review evaluation methodologies to ensure they meet global benchmarks.
- Excellence in documenting professional protocols and organizational position papers.
