About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Proactively develop an assigned territory’s sales via win back, growth and new business within existing accounts.
  • Promote and develop business of top regional clients in the three main product categories OHI serves: foot orthotics, AFOs, Footwear and Central Casting (where available).
  • Maintain a level of calls and meetings that meets or exceeds the manager’s expectation working toward the goal of cross-selling new product categories into established OHI accounts.
  • Prospecting – Identifying potential customers who might benefit from your product or service.
  • Lead Qualification – Evaluating leads to determine their fit and likelihood of conversion.
  • Initial Outreach – Making contact through emails, calls, or social media to spark interest.
  • Needs Analysis – Understanding the prospect’s pain points and goals to tailor solutions.
  • Pitching/Sales Presentation – Showcasing your product’s value in a way that resonates with the customer.
  • Objection Handling – Addressing concerns and removing barriers to purchase.
  • Negotiation – Finding mutually beneficial terms to finalize the deal.
  • Closing the Sale – Sealing the agreement and ensuring a smooth transition for the customer.
  • Follow-up & Relationship Building – Maintaining contact to foster loyalty and future sales.
  • Performance Evaluation & Improvement – Assessing metrics to refine strategies and optimize results.
  • Travel is 50% (approximately 8 nights per month)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated success in a sales position
  • Experience with consultative selling within medical accounts preferred
  • Superior oral and written business communication skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Creative problem solver
  • Strong self-motivator and Team player
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Reliability and honesty
  • Ability to travel and Reliable transportation
