About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible to control and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, and condensers, that supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, and auxiliary power
  • May be responsible for monitoring and operating controls in the centralized control room of the power plant
  • Assists in the training and mentoring of less experienced team members
  • Monitor, operate and check Auxiliary equipment
  • Identify abnormal Auxiliary equipment operations and take action
  • Monitor, analyze and perform chemistry tests
  • Keep logs, records data and verbally communicate plant conditions
  • Utilize SAP/PM system for equipment history and verification of work performed
  • Execute clearance procedures and follow all safety and environmental rules

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline; Or High School Diploma/GED And 1 year experience in a technical field; Or A certificate of completion from a vocational trade institution in a technical field; Or Prior military service for at least one enlistment as documented on DD Form 214
  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, And 1 year experience in a technical field; Or High School Diploma/GED And 3 years experience in a technical field; Or Prior military service for at least one enlistment as documented on DD Form 214, And 2 years experience in a technical field; Or High School Diploma/GED And 1 Direct Plant experience at the same power plant and successful completion of Board Review
  • Experience must include 1 year experience in a power plant or other process controlled environment
