About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible to control and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, and condensers, that supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, and auxiliary power
- May be responsible for monitoring and operating controls in the centralized control room of the power plant
- Assists in the training and mentoring of less experienced team members
- Monitor, operate and check Auxiliary equipment
- Identify abnormal Auxiliary equipment operations and take action
- Monitor, analyze and perform chemistry tests
- Keep logs, records data and verbally communicate plant conditions
- Utilize SAP/PM system for equipment history and verification of work performed
- Execute clearance procedures and follow all safety and environmental rules
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in a technical discipline; Or High School Diploma/GED And 1 year experience in a technical field; Or A certificate of completion from a vocational trade institution in a technical field; Or Prior military service for at least one enlistment as documented on DD Form 214
- Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, And 1 year experience in a technical field; Or High School Diploma/GED And 3 years experience in a technical field; Or Prior military service for at least one enlistment as documented on DD Form 214, And 2 years experience in a technical field; Or High School Diploma/GED And 1 Direct Plant experience at the same power plant and successful completion of Board Review
- Experience must include 1 year experience in a power plant or other process controlled environment
