About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide engineering support for Data Discovery, DLP, and Data Classification systems which include implementing detection rules, reducing false positive detections, deploying and maintaining tools.
- Analyze Data Discovery, DLP, and Data Classification events and formulate metrics to indicate areas of concern.
- Coordinate with business units to gather business requirements such as unique sensitive data patterns, whitelist of authorized entities, and establish controls with least business impacts.
- Building reports/automations to address key business concerns on data protection issues
- Assist in addressing Data Protection control audits.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Data Security and/or Data Governance
- Varonis SaaS engineering and analysis experience is a must
- Microsoft Purview, Netskope or other DLP engineering and analysis experience
- Microsoft Purview Information Protection engineering and analysis experience
- Familiar with Keyword, Regex, Exact Data Matching (EDM) methodology for policy development
- Power BI/Tableau experience is a plus
- Business Relationship Management experience
- General knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS standards
