About the role

  • Seek a highly skilled Structural Engineer to contribute to structural design and development for a prominent Colombian Civil Engineering company specializing in signature projects.
  • Prepare structural construction documents, including calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  • Design and analyze structures using concrete, steel, light gauge steel, wood, and masonry.
  • Prepare full sets of structural drawings for construction projects.
  • Perform structural calculations and analyses to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and review structural construction documents and ensure compliance with local, national, and international building codes and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Enercalc, and SAP2000 (latest) for structural design and documentation.
  • Work in both metric and imperial unit systems as used in the USA.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively in English and Spanish.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural design, preferably with buildings.
  • Software proficiency: AutoCAD; Revit for Structural Engineering; Enercalc; SAP2000 (latest version).
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, analysis methods, and material properties.
  • Experience with structural modeling, analysis, and detailing.
  • Ability to develop full structural drawing sets independently.
  • Knowledge of USA building codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, etc.).
  • Proficiency in both metric and imperial unit systems.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also handling independent tasks.
