About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and execute OCCUs financial strategy, aligning with organizational goals and long-term objectives.
Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate forecasts, financial modeling, and analysis of financial trends.
Manage budget development, rolling forecasts, and performance tracking against organizational goals.
Interpret financial, economic, and statistical data to inform strategic decisions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory reporting requirements.
Oversee reporting to regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Address audit findings and ensure appropriate resolution of financial exceptions.
Lead, coach, and develop finance team members, fostering a highly engaged and high-performing team.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support collaboration and execution.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of seven years of directly related finance and accounting experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. (GAAP)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail help ensure efficient, accurate task completion in planning, workflow, and project prioritization.
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Bachelors degree in finance and/or a strong record of achieving business results required.
