About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and execute OCCUs financial strategy, aligning with organizational goals and long-term objectives.
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate forecasts, financial modeling, and analysis of financial trends.
- Manage budget development, rolling forecasts, and performance tracking against organizational goals.
- Interpret financial, economic, and statistical data to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee reporting to regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Address audit findings and ensure appropriate resolution of financial exceptions.
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members, fostering a highly engaged and high-performing team.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support collaboration and execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of seven years of directly related finance and accounting experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. (GAAP)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail help ensure efficient, accurate task completion in planning, workflow, and project prioritization.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelors degree in finance and/or a strong record of achieving business results required.
