About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead NZTA’s infrastructure procurement function across significant infrastructure investment programmes
- Set the direction for strategic procurement, sourcing and supplier management
- Shape portfolio, programme and project-level strategies
- Work with senior leaders, central agencies, suppliers and industry partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience of current procurement best practice in New Zealand and internationally
- Proven infrastructure sector experience and strong understanding of the infrastructure planning, procurement and delivery lifecycle
- Proven procurement leadership experience in commercially complex environments
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify, conceptualise and navigate strategic commercial opportunities
- Deep understanding of government procurement and assurance requirements
- Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
