Safety Architect
NXP SemiconductorsFunctional Safety Architect defining and analyzing safety concepts for embedded systems at NXP. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and support customers.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, analyze, and validate safety concepts and architectures across embedded hardware and software systems.
- Develop safety requirements and perform analyses.
- Support implementation teams and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 or similar safety standards.
- Collaborate with system, hardware, and software teams to deliver robust, certifiable solutions.
- Contribute to the development of functional safety concepts and technical safety concepts.
- Capture requirements in requirements management tools.
- Perform FTA, DFA and FMEDA.
- Assist in audits, assessments, and internal safety reviews.
- Support and enable customers for various safety products.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in functional safety related design and development for Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive Suppliers.
- Strong concepts in Micro-controller and Micro-processor use-cases, applications and architecture for Automotive.
- Good understanding of ISO26262 or IEC61508 based development lifecycle and safety work products.
- Strong motivation to support customers.
- Strong understanding of IP and SoC level Safety mechanisms.
- Hands on experience to Safety analysis tools like Medni for FTA, DFA and FMEDA.
