About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Specialize in managing and leveraging Microsoft Purview for data security and compliance.
  • Assess, design, and implement information protection schemes for clients, including sensitivity labels and encryption.
  • Design and implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) across the Microsoft 365 stack and on users’ endpoints.
  • Design and implement data retention solutions based on legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and design appropriate data governance strategies.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data protection and governance within Microsoft Purview.
  • Provide training and technical support to colleagues on Purview capabilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Citizenship of one of the 32 NATO member states or Austrian citizenship.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) with Microsoft cloud technologies, including at least 2 years of specialized experience with Microsoft Purview.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Purview, and experience with its integrations with Microsoft 365 technologies such as Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Endpoint, etc.
  • Solid understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, and experience ensuring compliance within Purview environments.
