About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support day-to-day operations of the vulnerability management hub and two AI scanning engines
  • Monitor scan fleets and worker queues
  • Investigate stuck or failed scans and ship fixes
  • Build and maintain Python/FastAPI backend services, React/TypeScript frontends, and Postgres data models
  • Triage platform feedback from security engineers and repository owners
  • Reproduce bugs, run SQL data reconciliations, and close the loop with users
  • Operate the GitOps deployment pipeline using Kubernetes/OpenShift, ArgoCD, and Vault
  • Ship releases to staging and production
  • Rotate secrets and validate rollouts
  • Improve scan coverage and data quality across GitLab, GitHub, Gerrit, and Perforce
  • Improve ownership attribution, finding lifecycle, and deduplication logic
  • Work alongside senior engineers on LLM agent harnesses for scanning and verification

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of software engineering experience (internships count)
  • Solid Python fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Comfort in a Linux/Git environment
  • Willingness to debug across unfamiliar systems
  • Interest in security and willingness to become a security expert
  • Strong ownership instincts
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Frontend experience with React and TypeScript
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD/GitOps, Redis, Celery/ARQ, or job-queue/worker architectures
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or coding agents
  • Security fundamentals such as CTF participation, security coursework, bug bounty writeups, or Security+/eJPT certifications
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of shipped side projects
