About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serving as a technical lead for the development of datasets, tasks, and evaluation frameworks for foundation models
- Building external collaborations and community efforts to build high-quality datasets and biologically meaningful tasks for complex problems in digital biology
- Establishing benchmarks and evaluation criteria, and demonstrating the strengths of our research output to promote tangible progress in the field
- Inventing novel training and inference techniques, harnessing the power of NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms
- Publishing original research and releasing open-source software
- Collaborating with research and engineering teams across NVIDIA to translate research into products and services
- Mentoring emerging researchers and helping set the technical direction of the project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of pertinent experience involving direct assessment of models in the digital biology and drug discovery field
- Proven track record of publishing work in machine learning, data science, and/or digital biology
- Proficient in modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
- Experience in one or more of the following: cheminformatics, computational biology, proteomics, structural biology, or another relevant field of biology or chemistry
- Ability to absorb new information and keep others informed about the most recent advancements and tools in the field
- Ability to work together in a tight-knit team environment
