About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • report to the manager for product development
  • be part of a dynamic high impact team focused on developing NuScale’s microreactor technology
  • responsible for the mechanical design of systems and components
  • support design trade studies
  • perform thermal mechanical design analysis for static stress, fatigue, and creep
  • product cost modeling
  • support instrumentation selection and instrumentation design integration
  • support system and component design development for test facilities
  • perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of B.S. degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from a four year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time, directly relevant engineering experience in mechanical design of systems and components, including expertise with structural analysis using ANSYS, is required.
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
