About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Test Engineering Manager
- Develop and execute test programs that support the design, certification, manufacture and commercial deployment of the NuScale Microreactor
- Manage small projects and oversee test project progression through supplier evaluation, contract execution, design, implementation, testing, reporting, data acceptance, and contract close out
- Prepare test program budgets, schedules, resource requirements, statements-of-work, requests for quote, test specifications and test reports
- Analyze test data and validation efforts that utilize test data
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a B.S. degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
- Experience in executing, developing and managing testing programs for materials, fluid, mechanical or electro-mechanical hardware or devices is desired
- Knowledge of and experience with refractory metals and high temperature applications is preferred, i.e. greater than 800 °C
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
