About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the Nuclear Design team within the Nuclear Fuels organization.
Provide technical direction and management for engineering staff.
Maintain and enforce design basis discipline across group work products.
Manage ongoing maintenance and configuration control of the core design basis.
Develop technical statements of work and oversee integration of fuel components.
Participate in developing and updating company technical standards and practices.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience
At least 5 years of lead and/or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with employee conflict resolution, disciplinary protocols, performance reviews
Proven track record of managing staff from multiple disciplines
Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
