Contractor – Radiological Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting to the Manager, Radiological Engineering
- Specialize in radiological and nuclear analyses with a focus on pressurized light-water reactors licensing writing and defense.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard methods and simulation tools.
- Develop resolutions to complex problems that require creativity and innovation.
- Plan, organize, and perform innovative and complex engineering assignments on a team.
- Interact with management and senior customer personnel.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a B.S. degree in nuclear engineering or radiological health physics from a four year ABET accredited college of university is required.
- A minimum 8 years of full-time directly applicable experience in nuclear/radiological engineering or health physics is required.
- 2-3 years’ of additional or concurrent experience in PWR or BWR license development and defense.
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
