About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Reporting to the Manager, Radiological Engineering
  • Specialize in radiological and nuclear analyses with a focus on pressurized light-water reactors licensing writing and defense.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard methods and simulation tools.
  • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require creativity and innovation.
  • Plan, organize, and perform innovative and complex engineering assignments on a team.
  • Interact with management and senior customer personnel.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in nuclear engineering or radiological health physics from a four year ABET accredited college of university is required.
  • A minimum 8 years of full-time directly applicable experience in nuclear/radiological engineering or health physics is required.
  • 2-3 years’ of additional or concurrent experience in PWR or BWR license development and defense.
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
