About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
- Support preparation of engineering deliverables such as: Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Equipment lists and design documentation
- Assist in data analysis, modelling, and engineering studies
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, structural, electrical)
- Support project teams with reporting, scheduling, and documentation tracking
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, systems use, and engineering tools
- Perform general project support tasks as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program (Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Materials Engineering), entering into 3rd or 4th year of study.
- Strong academic performance with an interest in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry
- Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and design principles
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Excel, modelling tools) is beneficial
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
