About the role
- Contract Systems Analyst role at Numentica LLC (IT Services) — remote.
- This is a remote position.
- Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing software specifications.
- Documenting detailed IT requirements to meet program and user needs using User Stories and Use Cases.
- Creating test plans, complex test scenarios, test cases, and documenting a Requirements Traceability Matrix.
- Testing mainframe and/or web-based applications and executing test plans, including coordinating and facilitating user acceptance testing.
- Identifying, analyzing and documenting software defects and assisting developers in resolution.
- Writing and executing simple SQL statements to verify test results.
- Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

- 8 Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements and develop software specifications
- 8 Experience documenting detailed requirements for information technology solutions that will meet program and user needs
- 8 Experience in various documentation techniques including User Stories, Use Cases
- 8 Experience in creating test plans, complex test scenarios, test cases planned in cooperation with business and technical groups and documenting Requirements Traceability Matrix
- 8 Experience with testing mainframe and/or web-based applications
- 8 Demonstrated ability in working with stakeholders and development team; experience facilitating productive meetings to formulate business requirements and communicate stakeholder needs to technical staff
- 8 Experience executing test plans, assisting team members in performing and completing test activities; coordinate, monitor, and perform testing, and facilitate user acceptance testing
- 8 Experience identifying, analyzing and documenting software defects; assists developers in analyzing and resolving defects
- 8 Experience writing and executing simple SQL statements to verify test results
- 8 Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
