About the role

  • This is a remote position.
  • The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System).
  • Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
  • This position will work with the FSP development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:
  • Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
  • Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases against HTML, PDF, and Excel Reports, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
  • Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
  • Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
  • Execute performance and accessibility testing
  • Perform manual testing and data validation

Requirements

  • 7 Required Testing complex Web Applications
  • 7 Required Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
  • 7 Required Testing automation experience with Selenium and TestNG
  • 5 Required Advanced Database/SQL Language
  • 3 Required Experience with Java Programming Language
  • 2 Required Experience Using Apache POI and Apache PDFBox
  • 2 Required Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools
  • 3 Preferred Experience parsing WebTables to Verify Results
  • 2 Preferred Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred
  • 2 Preferred Previous experience with JIRA preferred
