About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the solution architecture for Sales (SD) processes, Pricing, tax determination and Outbound Logistics, maintaining an end-to-end view of interfaces with MM, TM and other logistics modules.
- Act as the solution architect on Tax Reform projects, addressing the impacts of IBS, CBS and Split Payment on pricing, tax determination and electronic tax messaging.
- Design the solution approach considering different project models — Greenfield, Brownfield, RISE migration/conversion, S/4HANA Private Edition.
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of scenarios presented in RFPs, engaging specialists from the team when the solution requires depth beyond the SD scope.
- Prepare technical proposals for SAP projects, prioritizing fit-to-standard adherence and crafting arguments that differentiate the proposal for the client.
- Use qualification forms to detail the scope of Tax Reform and Outbound opportunities (tax scenarios, interfaces, mandatory deliverables), reducing ambiguity before project pricing.
- Sequence and prioritize proposal requests in a continuous flow (multiple simultaneous RFPs), ensuring SLA response to the commercial team.
- Estimate effort, timelines and required team for the project according to client needs, taking into account risks from regulatory uncertainty (e.g., Tax Reform rules still under regulation).
- Join a team of architects specialized in different SAP areas, contributing an end-to-end architectural perspective across opportunities — not limited to a single module or topic.
- Support other team areas beyond the primary specialty, following Numen’s collaborative model where architects assist each other according to the demand of each opportunity.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple proposals/projects in parallel, ensuring quality, timelines and consistency across workstreams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid hands-on experience in SAP SD, including Brazil localization, pricing and tax determination.
- Experience with Tax Reform topics (IBS, CBS, Split Payment).
- Experience in implementation projects, migration/conversion (RISE) and S/4HANA cycles — ECC to S/4, Greenfield and Brownfield — with a focus on Private Edition.
- Experience in pre-sales and/or solution architecture, with a track record of technical leadership in projects involving multiple simultaneous workstreams.
- Ability to prepare and run scope qualification forms and technical proposals for RFPs.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical/tax topics for non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of modules adjacent to SD, such as MM, TM, LES, FI/CO, among others.
- English for technical reading and writing (verbal fluency is not required).
- Previous consulting experience working across multiple projects simultaneously.
