About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, transform and operate complex WAN, LAN and WLAN infrastructures
  • Execute migrations and rollouts, from traditional networks to SDN approaches
  • Establish and maintain a Network Source of Truth with NetBox or Nautobot
  • Orchestrate AI agents, for example with n8n, to automate repetitive network tasks
  • Perform troubleshooting and log analysis
  • Identify network bottlenecks
  • Incident, Change and Problem Management following ITIL standards
  • Design and document advanced network architectures, SOPs and operating models
  • Advise on new technologies including vendor comparisons and roadmapping
  • Take on partial project responsibility upon request
  • Plan and operate highly available networks
  • Deploy WLAN environments with NAC and 802.1X
  • Support migrations to SD-WAN-based networks
  • Analyze incidents in the network stacks of internationally operating companies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CCNA, CCNP or CCIE
  • Hands-on experience with various network architectures and technical orchestrations
  • Critical thinking and responsible validation of AI agent outputs
  • WAN knowledge: routing, MPLS, IPsec, DMVPN, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
  • LAN knowledge: switching, VLANs, trunking (802.1Q), port security, STP and CDP/LLDP
  • WLAN knowledge: WPA2/WPA3, WLAN controllers and 802.11ac/ax/be (Wi‑Fi 5/6/6E/7)
  • VPN knowledge: IPsec, IKEv1/v2, TLS-based VPNs and remote-access concepts
  • Troubleshooting and analysis with Wireshark, tcpdump or Packet Tracer
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow as well as YAML/JSON
  • Experience with tools like Postman or Bruno
  • German: at least C1
  • English: at least B1/B2
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Nice-to-haves: Cisco AIBIZ, AITECH, DCAI or similar AI training
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with n8n or comparable automation platforms
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of NetBox, Nautobot or similar SSoT/NSoT platforms
  • Nice-to-have: Monitoring, logging and SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana or QRadar
  • Nice-to-have: NetBox Copilot and AI-driven infrastructure workflows
