About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the Controller with month-end close process and general ledger account reconciliations
Manage financial close process and financial analysis reporting
Oversee payroll preparation and reconciliation
Set up new contracts and maintain contract modifications
Generate and issue invoices and troubleshoot billing issues
Review and process subcontractor timecards
Monitor cash flow needs and perform monthly bank reconciliations
Support external financial audits and tax compliance
Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures
Provide financial guidance and insights to managers as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 5 years of progressive hands-on accounting experience
Experience in Government contract accounting preferred
ADP payroll experience is advantageous
CPA certification or active CPA candidacy is desirable
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with GAAP and CAS
Understanding of FAR cost principles and government contracting requirements
Excellent judgment and leadership abilities
Ability to build effective relationships with customers and auditors
Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
