About the role
- Lead onboarding and implementation of managed services for NRTC member organizations
- Ensure project success through cross-functional collaboration, clear communication, and proactive risk management
- Manage multiple concurrent projects requiring external coordination with broadband members and internal collaboration across diverse departments
- Support member satisfaction, revenue onboarding, and long-term scalability of NRTC’s managed services portfolio
- Typically manage 8–12 concurrent implementation projects—sometimes more during peak periods
- External coordination with broadband member organizations and internal coordination across multiple departments and sometimes business units
- PMs accountable for service readiness, stakeholder alignment, and the successful launch of complex managed service solutions
- Facilitate knowledge transfer post-launch and document lessons learned
- Support change management by identifying adoption barriers and facilitating training and communication
- Define and track KPIs to measure project success and member satisfaction
- Balance member expectations, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities with sound judgment
- Provide mentorship to peers
- Research and apply industry best practices to enhance project delivery
- Track deliverables, prevent scope creep, and maintain schedule and budget compliance
- Coordinate cross-functionally to align complex implementation timelines
- Lead project work with internal teams, maintaining an engaged, collaborative, and motivating approach
- Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks proactively
- Manage communications and reporting for diverse stakeholders, including project teams, PMO, internal departments, and Members
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and updating project management templates and practices
Requirements
- Strong command of project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK) applied to real-world projects
- Proven success managing multi-phase, externally facing technical projects under critical timelines
- Positive, professional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborative leadership style that motivates teams to meet aggressive goals
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Member-first mindset aligned with cooperative principles
- Quick adaptability to evolving tools and project management technologies
- Experience in rural broadband, telecom, or member-owned organizations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management, business, IT, or related field
- 3–5 years managing technical projects in service delivery or telecom environments
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
