About the role

  • Lead onboarding and implementation of managed services for NRTC member organizations
  • Ensure project success through cross-functional collaboration, clear communication, and proactive risk management
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects requiring external coordination with broadband members and internal collaboration across diverse departments
  • Support member satisfaction, revenue onboarding, and long-term scalability of NRTC’s managed services portfolio
  • Typically manage 8–12 concurrent implementation projects—sometimes more during peak periods
  • External coordination with broadband member organizations and internal coordination across multiple departments and sometimes business units
  • PMs accountable for service readiness, stakeholder alignment, and the successful launch of complex managed service solutions
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer post-launch and document lessons learned
  • Support change management by identifying adoption barriers and facilitating training and communication
  • Define and track KPIs to measure project success and member satisfaction
  • Balance member expectations, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities with sound judgment
  • Provide mentorship to peers
  • Research and apply industry best practices to enhance project delivery
  • Track deliverables, prevent scope creep, and maintain schedule and budget compliance
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to align complex implementation timelines
  • Lead project work with internal teams, maintaining an engaged, collaborative, and motivating approach
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks proactively
  • Manage communications and reporting for diverse stakeholders, including project teams, PMO, internal departments, and Members
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and updating project management templates and practices

Requirements

  • Strong command of project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK) applied to real-world projects
  • Proven success managing multi-phase, externally facing technical projects under critical timelines
  • Positive, professional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborative leadership style that motivates teams to meet aggressive goals
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Member-first mindset aligned with cooperative principles
  • Quick adaptability to evolving tools and project management technologies
  • Experience in rural broadband, telecom, or member-owned organizations preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management, business, IT, or related field
  • 3–5 years managing technical projects in service delivery or telecom environments
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
