About the role
- Gather and prioritize requirements to build new features for our platform
- Lead weekly standups and check-ins with engineering development team
- Provide direction to development team, consistently ensuring they are aligned with the needs of the business
- Meet with business stakeholders regularly to gather, analyze and document requirements throughout the lifecycle of a project
- Provide the business updates on features and projects
- Manage backlog according to business priority features, enhancement, and bug fixes
- Use agile methodologies to manage full lifecycle development on the platform
- Interview and observe use of features in the field to ensure usability and customer delight
- Test new features while identifying bugs and documenting needed adjustments
Requirements
- 3-5 years recent experience as a Product Owner working with development teams to build new offerings, features, integrations that drive business growth
- 5 years' experience working in a digital healthcare environment
- Deep experience with small scrappy start-up team wearing multiple hats with a growing development team
- A strong understanding of coding including a technical background with fingers to keyboard and the possibilities as they relate to building new features
- Strong experience in writing clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria and aligning priorities
- Flexible, fast-paced, independent thinker that can work in a flat, unstructured environment and bring order to chaos and weed through priorities to gain consensus to drive development priorities
- Ability to test against acceptance criteria across devices and Operating Systems and develop and execute test cases with support from the business
- Build and own strategic roadmap of epics and integrations to align with business goals and strategy on an annual planning basis
- Experience with best practice project management tools and experience managing an AGILE process (Jira or other backlog management tools) using a Kan Ban or Sprint methodology
- Weekly management processes with stakeholders and daily stand-ups with developers
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university
