About the role

  • Perform a technical analysis of existing SAS code to assess its compatibility with the SAS Viya platform and recommend adjustments according to established best practices.
  • Migrate current SAS programs to the Viya platform, ensuring the performance, quality and robustness of analytical processes.
  • Identify potential impacts on related systems, tools or processes and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of rigorous test plans to validate the quality of migrated components.
  • Estimate required development effort, identify optimization opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the migration process.
  • Document all migrated programs as well as associated processes and dependencies.
  • Provide technical support to users and stakeholders during the transition to the new platform.
  • Act as a team point of contact for the use of SAS tools and Viya migration practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of SAS development experience in complex environments
  • Experience with SAS Viya in an Azure cloud environment (major asset)
  • Proficiency with SAS Grid in a Linux environment
  • Relevant experience in SAS administration
  • Knowledge of DevOps, notably Terraform and Ansible
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps (Repos and CI Pipelines)
  • Scripting skills in Bash and Python
  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructures, particularly Azure
  • Knowledge of agile practices and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with schedulers such as Control-M and crontab
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical problems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written
