About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive expansion of the Shield business by proactively seeking out and acquiring new clients
  • Understand prospective clients’ specific needs and offer solutions
  • Build strong relationships to facilitate business growth
  • Engage with potential clients in the field and promote Shield’s products
  • Obtain new agent appointments
  • Visit and call current appointed agents
  • Make calls, send emails, and attend virtual meetings to maintain relationships with new and current agents
  • Visit potential new agents and current agents
  • Retain awareness of connections, sales, and terms and maintain records in Salesforce
  • Follow up and maintain existing relationships while developing new relationships
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities for other insurance lines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • P&C license not required, but highly preferred
  • Previous retail or wholesale experience
  • Detail oriented with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and ability to support multiple individuals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and strong time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the region
  • Ability to visit 4 potential new or current agents per day, 3 days per week
  • Residence in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Oregon, Washington, Colorado, or Nevada
