About the role

  • Architect, implement, and configure the M&S DevSecOps Platform, including core platform services, to support cloud and on-premises deployments.
  • Design scalable and secure infrastructure solutions that meet the operational needs of Joint and Air Force training environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools (e.g., GitLab, SonarQube, Fortify) to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
  • Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Ensure platform reliability, availability, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including RMF and NIST 800-53; collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to support system modernization, transition engineering, and sustainment efforts; provide technical leadership in integrating DevSecOps practices.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform performance and operational readiness; continuously evaluate and optimize platform performance.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in DevSecOps roles across multiple projects.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C++ and Python, as well as DevSecOps tools and practices.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Certifications: Must possess Security+ CE or Linux+ certifications.
  • Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks, including RMF and NIST 800-53.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
