About the role
- Assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of voice, data, video, and wireless telecommunications networks
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN and WAN network components
- Analyze network requirements and assist in developing system specifications and network designs
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and assist with root cause analysis
- Support network documentation including diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures
- Assist with monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues affecting service availability
- Support backup planning and contingency solutions to ensure continuity of network services
- Participate in network upgrades, maintenance activities, and technology refresh initiatives
- Ensure network configurations comply with DoD security standards
Requirements
- Must possess an active Secret clearance
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- One of the following: Google Cloud Platform Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience
- Minimum one (1) year of professional experience supporting telecommunications or network systems
