About the role
- Support customer processing, applications, and configurations within an IBM and Unisys mainframe OS
- Provide real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of multiple mainframe systems
- Collaborate with contractors and government personnel to ensure operational efficiency
- Track mainframe Change Management including Change Requests and Authorized Service Interruptions
- Conduct tape service support for external tape systems in the z/OS Mainframe environment
- Provide status updates and participate in meetings regarding mainframe processing
Requirements
- IAT Level 1 certification (A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network +CE, SSCP)
- Must be willing to work 3rd shift
- Control, diagnose, and resolve problems due to incorrect ECL coding/programming techniques
- Expertise in OS2200, z/OS, and z/VM operating environments
- Proficient in JES2, JCL, and OpCon Unisys scheduling tool
- Experience with batch processing and complex system abend recovery techniques
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Mainframe Terminal Emulation Software usage
- Effective communication with customers and team members
