About the role

  • Support customer processing, applications, and configurations within an IBM and Unisys mainframe OS
  • Provide real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of multiple mainframe systems
  • Collaborate with contractors and government personnel to ensure operational efficiency
  • Track mainframe Change Management including Change Requests and Authorized Service Interruptions
  • Conduct tape service support for external tape systems in the z/OS Mainframe environment
  • Provide status updates and participate in meetings regarding mainframe processing

Requirements

  • IAT Level 1 certification (A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network +CE, SSCP)
  • Must be willing to work 3rd shift
  • Control, diagnose, and resolve problems due to incorrect ECL coding/programming techniques
  • Expertise in OS2200, z/OS, and z/VM operating environments
  • Proficient in JES2, JCL, and OpCon Unisys scheduling tool
  • Experience with batch processing and complex system abend recovery techniques
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Mainframe Terminal Emulation Software usage
  • Effective communication with customers and team members
