About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You’ll be the appointed System Administrator (SA) / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving the daily operations of a classified computing environment.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support independent research and development, design, and fabrication of novel radar/RF technologies.
  • Linux and Windows system administration, to include Ubuntu and networked classified systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, maintain, and enhance tools, libraries, and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues within the Linux environment.
  • Responsible for implementation of continuous monitoring strategies including weekly audit reviews.
  • Operations consists of patching, backup, software deployment, new system builds and deployments, account management, and troubleshooting.
  • Hardening, developing documentation, and information security control design in support of RMF certification.
  • Support planning, integration, and test activities.
  • Assist in translating objectives into architectural concepts, system and functional requirements, and develop system specifications and external interfaces.
  • Communicate solutions and concepts to engineering, scientific, and technical audiences.
  • Operate independently and be proactive in identification of problems and solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of full-time professional experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Must possess, or can obtain, an active Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be willing to travel to support test events as needed.
