About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You’ll be the appointed System Administrator (SA) / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving the daily operations of a classified computing environment.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support independent research and development, design, and fabrication of novel radar/RF technologies.
Linux and Windows system administration, to include Ubuntu and networked classified systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, maintain, and enhance tools, libraries, and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues within the Linux environment.
Responsible for implementation of continuous monitoring strategies including weekly audit reviews.
Operations consists of patching, backup, software deployment, new system builds and deployments, account management, and troubleshooting.
Hardening, developing documentation, and information security control design in support of RMF certification.
Support planning, integration, and test activities.
Assist in translating objectives into architectural concepts, system and functional requirements, and develop system specifications and external interfaces.
Communicate solutions and concepts to engineering, scientific, and technical audiences.
Operate independently and be proactive in identification of problems and solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
5 years of full-time professional experience.
5 years of experience in Information Technology.
Must possess, or can obtain, an active Secret Clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.
Must be willing to travel to support test events as needed.
