About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As a Teaching Fellow (Counselling), you'll inspire and support the next generation of counselling professionals.
  • You will be teaching subjects across Bachelor of Counselling, Graduate Certificate in Counselling, Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Master of Counselling.
  • Combine outstanding teaching practice with digital capability, learning design and innovation to create learning experiences that are flexible, engaging and centred around student success.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related discipline required;
  • PhD (completed or in progress) preferred.
  • Demonstrated relevant counselling industry experience is a MUST.
  • ACA registration preferred or the ability to obtain registration upon appointment.
  • Strong facilitation skills across online and face-to-face learning environments in Higher Education.
  • Experience using learning technologies and digital tools to enhance teaching.
  • Confidence using or enthusiasm for adopting AI-enabled approaches in education.
  • Experience designing engaging learning and assessment activities.
  • A student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A growth mindset and commitment to continuous professional learning.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards completion).
