About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Teach Legal Assistant and Paralegal Studies courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
All other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of three years of non-overlapping experience in the legal field with a Paralegal Studies degree or a degree in a related field
Minimum of three years of non-overlapping experience in the legal field with completion of a Paralegal Studies training program (can be diploma-level if it covers the same topic areas as NCC) PLUS a degree
Nevada State Law experience
Proficient in Google Workspace (G Suite)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and general Microsoft Office applications
Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
Comfortable teaching in both in-person and online/virtual learning environments
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
