About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing guidance and interpretation of USG regulations, including ITAR, EAR, BATFE, Anti-boycott Regulations, US Census, and Customs Regulations.
Working with various functional areas (Contracts, Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Engineering, New Business, etc.) to determine their export/import needs.
Preparing and submitting necessary export/import authorization requests required to support international programs and managing all post approval activities such as recordkeeping, reporting requirements, approvals for data exports and international shipping authorizations.
Assisting Global Trade Manager to develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Formally presenting in meetings, training environments and responding to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors related to export/import compliance.
Supporting corrective action implementation and negotiating export/import control issues with internal and external customers and resolve issues in a win/win manner.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in import or export trade compliance and/or international contracts.
Basic knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other US Government Export Regulations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance.
Basic knowledge of Customs/Census, FAR/DFARS, TINA and other US Government Regulations preferred.
Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts and associated scope of work and requirements preferred.
Knowledge of and proficiency with DESCARTE OCR EASE Export & Import Global Trade Compliance Software preferred.
Experience providing training to export licensing personnel and functional requesters preferred.
Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.
