About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle including design, implementation, integration, and delivery of high quality software products to our customers
  • Operate in a real-time embedded development environment working with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and safety critical software
  • Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems
  • Own the team’s performance and communicate with senior program leadership and customers about progress, budget, any risks or blockers that may exist, and your solutions around them

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in STEM with 8 related engineering experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: Java, Python, C++
  • Familiar with Architecting, Designing, Implementing, Integrating, Verifying and Qualifying Safety-Critical Embedded Real Time Software running on various RTOS (VxWorks, INTEGRITY, Real Time Embedded Linux)
  • Familiar with Static & Dynamic Code Analysis Tools and Fuzzing Tools such as: Coverity, Fortify, AND/OR SonarQube
  • Familiar with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR)
